Kota metropolis musik, MIDICITY. Seorang gadis kucing yang memakai baju gothic lolita dibina oleh Maple Arisugawa, Ketua Agen Musik. Di sana dia bertemu Chuchu (plesetan dari suara yang dibuat kelinci) seorang gadis kelinci yang sangat dihormati, seorang gadis Anjing yang aneh yang bernama Retoree (dari "Retriever"), dan seorang gadis domba alien yang bernama Moa. Bersama-sama, mereka membentuk sebuah band dengan nama "Plasmagica" dan bertujuan untuk menjadi nomor 1 di dunia.
